Living in Tomball
Tomball is a small city in northwest Harris County, about 31 miles from Downtown by car along State Highway 249. It grew up around the railroad in the early 1900s and is named for Thomas Henry Ball, the congressman who helped bring the line through. Old Town Tomball still has its depot, antique shops and festivals, while new subdivisions, shopping and medical offices have spread along SH 249 and the Grand Parkway.

- Schools. Tomball ISD serves most of the area, and some neighborhoods are in nearby districts such as Klein ISD or Magnolia ISD. Check zoning for each address.
